About ThunderFest 2026

A Fun-Filled Hoedown with a Heart for Community

ThunderFest is more than just a festival—it is a celebration of community, culture, and the deep connections that sustain us. This dynamic event brings together neighbors of all ages for an unforgettable day of live music, hands-on horse interactions, artisan workshops, and rustic country fun.

Celebrating Inclusion & Accessibility

While we gather for a day of memories, the true heart of ThunderFest is our mission to ensure that everyone—regardless of their financial or physical barriers—can access our life-changing equine-assisted programs.

Your attendance directly impacts our community by:

Providing 1:1 Support: Funding the wages of dedicated support workers so that children with disabilities can attend our camps with the specialized care they deserve, at no extra cost to their families.

Removing Transportation Barriers: Contributing to transit initiatives that help those with limited travel options join our programs and events.

Ensuring Physical Accessibility: Investing in our facilities to keep our space fully inclusive and navigable for those using wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids.

The ThunderFest Experience

Immerse yourself in our rustic country atmosphere with high-energy live bands, bounce houses, and a photo booth to capture the magic. You can learn to two-step with professional line dancing instruction, browse our curated market of unique local vendors, and enjoy incredible food and drinks from the MadMash Brewery.

From pottery workshops to the clink of the blacksmith’s hammer, there is something for everyone to discover. Join us at ThunderFest 2026 to celebrate togetherness and help us build a community where support and healing are accessible to all.

Don’t miss out on the fun—join us and help make a difference!

MEET THE TEAM

Meet the Visionary Behind Thunderfest

Alisha is a proud Oxford County resident, the Founder and Operations Manager of Transitions, and the heart behind ThunderFest. The festival itself takes its name from a very special member of the family: Alisha’s 9-year-old Quarter Horse gelding, Thunder.

A devoted wife of 20 years and a mother to two wonderful teenagers, Alisha’s roots in the community run deep. Her inspiration for ThunderFest grew from witnessing the profound, life-changing impact horses have had on her own journey and the lives of those around her.

Alisha created ThunderFest to bridge the gap between a high-energy community celebration and a meaningful mission. Her goal is simple but powerful: to host an inclusive, joy-filled event that directly funds accessible equine-assisted programs, ensuring that support and healing are available to everyone in our community who needs them most.
