Through authentic engagement, education, and dialogue, we aim to support truth and reconciliation, cultivating understanding and respect in a way that honors traditional teachings and builds bridges for a united future.<\/p>\n Our vision for The Two Row Initiative is to cultivate education, foster awareness, and build a network of allies within the community, paving the way for a harmonious and unified future.<\/span><\/p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> Supporting the Indigenous Community with The Two Row Initiative<\/b><\/p>\n We support the Indigenous community by providing a safe, welcoming space where individuals can reconnect with their culture, heritage, and traditional teachings. Our initiatives honor and celebrate the rich histories and wisdom of Indigenous peoples, fostering opportunities for healing, cultural expression, and the sharing of knowledge. Through meaningful collaborations and community-focused programming, we aim to nurture a sense of belonging and pride, empowering individuals to explore and strengthen their cultural roots while creating bridges of understanding and respect between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div> Supporting the Settler Community with The Two Row Initiative<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n We are committed to fostering meaningful connections and understanding between Indigenous and settler communities. We provide education and resources to individuals and organizations within the settler community who wish to learn about Indigenous culture, knowledge, and ways of being. <\/span>Our goal is to ensure this knowledge is used in a good way\u2014respectfully, thoughtfully, and with the intent to build bridges of reconciliation. Through workshops, training sessions, cultural exchanges, and access to authentic resources, we help settlers deepen their awareness of Indigenous histories, traditions, and current realities.<\/span><\/p>\n \n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> By nurturing these relationships and encouraging allyship, we strive to grow a community of informed individuals who are actively contributing to a peaceful and united future grounded in truth and reconciliation.<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> Services<\/b><\/p>\n Two Row Learning<\/b> is a vibrant youth group for ages 6-12, dedicated to fostering education and understanding of the 7 Sacred Teachings. Through monthly gatherings and immersive summer camps, youth engage in meaningful activities that promote respect, truth, courage, humility, honesty, wisdom, and love. Two Row Learning offers a safe and inspiring environment for participants to explore Indigenous culture, deepen their connection to the land, and build a foundation for unity and reconciliation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div> Full Moon Smudge Gatherings<\/b><\/span> are s<\/span><\/span><\/span>acred evenings of connection and reflection, guided by Elder Eric G. Martin monthly. Inspired by the sweat lodge tradition, our Full Moon Smudge Gatherings provide an opportunity to honor the powerful energy of the full moon.<\/span> Indigenous Blanket Exercise<\/span> <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span>In partnership with Kairos, we invite you to participate in the Indigenous Blanket Exercise, a powerful, interactive learning experience that brings the history of Indigenous peoples in Canada to life hosted here annually.<\/span><\/p>\n Through this participatory workshop, you will step into the roles of Indigenous peoples to explore the impacts of colonization, including broken treaties, residential schools, and systemic injustices. Guided by trained facilitators, the Blanket Exercise offers a respectful and immersive way to deepen your understanding of Indigenous histories and perspectives.<\/p>\n Following the exercise, we will gather for a facilitated sharing circle to reflect, ask questions, and engage in meaningful dialogue. This is an opportunity to listen, learn, and commit to the journey of truth, reconciliation, and building respectful relationships.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div> Medicine Garden<\/span><\/span> <\/span>Our Indigenous Medicine Garden is a vibrant living classroom, honoring the wisdom of the land and the traditional knowledge of Indigenous peoples. Designed as both a place of learning and spiritual connection, this sacred space is home to native plants used for medicine, ceremony, and healing.<\/span><\/p>\n Guided by Indigenous teachings, the garden serves as a space to explore the relationship between people, plants, and the earth. Visitors are invited to learn about the cultural significance and healing properties of these plants, as well as the importance of stewardship and respect for the natural world.<\/p>\n Near the entrance of the garden is a sacred fire, where gatherings, ceremonies, and teachings are held. The fire symbolizes unity, healing, and the passing down of ancestral knowledge.<\/p>\n Whether you come to participate in a workshop, share stories around the fire, or simply reflect in the peaceful surroundings, the Indigenous Medicine Garden offers a meaningful opportunity to connect with the land and its teachings.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div> Ojibwe <\/span>Spirit Horses <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n We are honored to share that Ojibwe Spirit Horses have arrived and joined our herd at Transitions. These rare and critically endangered horses are deeply connected to Indigenous culture, history, and teachings. Known as the little horses of the big woods, they once roamed freely across the land, living in harmony with the people.<\/span><\/p>\n Bringing the Spirit Horses here is about more than preservation\u2014it\u2019s about reconciliation, education, and honoring a sacred relationship that has existed for generations. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about their cultural significance, their gentle wisdom, and how they embody the Seven Sacred Teachings.<\/p>\n We offer meaningful programs where their presence guides healing, learning, and connection.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div> Our Spirit Horse Program is proudly sponsored by Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> Meet Becca\u2013 Director of Indigenous Programs <\/b><\/p>\n Becca Neepin is a proud Cree woman from Fox Lake, Manitoba, whose deep roots and rich cultural heritage shape everything she does. Inspired by her grandmother\u2019s legacy as a residential school survivor, Becca has become a passionate advocate for Indigenous awareness, healing, and education. Her work is grounded in honoring the past, empowering the present, and shaping a more inclusive future\u2014especially for youth, whose curiosity and respect continually inspire her.<\/p>\n Through her brand Two Row Creeations, Becca blends tradition with creativity to produce <\/span>custom-designed ribbon skirts, ribbon hoodies, and ribbon jackets<\/b> that celebrate Indigenous identity and storytelling as well as hosts a variety of community workshops and events in Oxford County, such as the Annual Truth and Reconciliation March. Each piece is thoughtfully handcrafted, reflecting the strength, resilience, and beauty of her culture. Alongside these signature garments, she also creates personalized gifts that hold meaning and connection for each recipient.<\/p>\n Becca skillfully balances her creative entrepreneurship with her career, community work, and family life. She shares her journey with her supportive partner, owner of Line-X, and is a devoted mother of two and a proud dog mom. \nThis gathering is open to all who seek to connect with the wisdom of the full moon, embrace traditional teachings, and step into a space of renewal and healing.<\/span>
