Alisha Wilson, Founder<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

Alisha is the driving force behind Transitions, where she blends her professional expertise as an Equestrian Canada Registered Coach with her passion for holistic healing. As an Operations Manager and Certified Equine Specialist, she oversees the farm with a focus on safety and authentic connection. Her work is deeply informed by her practice as a Reiki Master Teacher, creating a space where participants can experience profound moments of self-discovery.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dedicated to the well-being of both her human and equine community, Alisha remains active in local organizations and events. At home, she is a wife of 20+ years to Kevin and a mom to two teenagers. Her house is a lively one, shared with two German Shepherds and a full herd of horses that keep life inspired and full of energy.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Miranda Murray, Vice Chair<\/span><\/b><\/font><\/span><\/h2>\n

Miranda Murray serves as the Vice Chair at Transitions, bringing with her many years of hands-on horse experience and a calm, level-headed approach that helps guide our organization forward. A devoted wife and loving mom, Miranda is also the proud horse mom to Bobby, whose big personality matches her own passion for all things equine. Her expertise, steady leadership, and genuine heart make her an invaluable part of the Transitions team \u2014 helping ensure our mission and herd stay grounded, connected, and thriving.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Ashley Cociu, Secretary<\/span><\/b><\/font><\/span><\/h2>\n

Ashley Cociu serves as Secretary at Transitions, bringing her creativity, energy, and love for horses to everything she does. A devoted mother and proud fur mom to her horse named Lucy, Ashley\u2019s passion inspires a sense of childlike wonder and joy throughout our herd and space. Her playful spirit and dedication make her an essential part of our team, ensuring that every experience at Transitions is infused with fun, heart, and imagination.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Rebecca Neepin
<\/b>Director of Indigenous Programs<\/b><\/h2>\n

A proud Cree woman from Fox Lake, Manitoba, she carries her rich heritage and family values close to her heart. With her grandmother\u2019s journey as a residential school survivor, Rebecca has developed a deep passion for Indigenous awareness and advocacy. She channels this passion into her work with youth, where she admires their respect, curiosity, and eagerness to learn. Professionally, Rebecca is a full-time laser operator at Tigercat, skillfully balancing her career with her commitment to family and community. She shares her life with an incredibly supportive partner, who owns Line-X, and together they create a home filled with love, hard work, and meaningful connections. <\/span>As a devoted mother of two and a dog lover with two furry friends, Rebecca\u2019s life is rich with purpose and joy. Her dedication to raising awareness and inspiring youth reflects her commitment to building a brighter future for her community.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Lindsey Wilson
<\/b>Assistant Facilitator<\/b><\/h2>\n

Teen equestrian with a passion for horses & helping youth. <\/span>Loves riding, creating fun farm events, and rising to challenges. Aspiring Equine-Assisted Learning Certified Facilitator, ready to make a difference<\/span><\/p>\n

Lindsey is our go to “Whoa Game” facilitator and helps us stay fresh and up to date with today’s slang. She also saw the need for strictly teen based groups, and helped to create The Spirit of Teens groups. We’re incredibly grateful for her initiative and leadership, and look forward to watching her grow!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Carrie Kidd
<\/b>Certified Facilitator<\/b><\/h2>\n

Married for 22 years to her amazing and supportive husband, Carrie is blessed with three beautiful (and not-so-little!) kids, a house full of fur babies, and a life filled with love and gratitude. <\/span>Since she was a little girl, Carrie has had a deep love for horses. At just 3 years old, she was already racing barrels! Her teenage years were filled with the thrill of speed, adrenaline, and countless cherished moments with her family\u2019s horses. Through the ups and downs of life, horses were her saving grace\u2014offering love, comfort, and life-changing lessons that shaped her into the person she is today. <\/span>Carrie believes horses have a unique ability to connect with us on a profound level. They are supportive, wise, and sometimes cheeky\u2014yet always full of love. From being our greatest teachers to the best shoulder to lean on, they guide us to find peace, joy, and emotional release. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Kelly Ann Ruddock
<\/b><\/font><\/span>Senior Program Director & Volunteer<\/span><\/b><\/font><\/span><\/h2>\n

Kelly Ann is the heart of our senior community and an essential pillar of the farm\u2019s daily operations. As our Senior Program Director, she brings a lifetime of experience and a childhood passion for elder care to everything she touches.<\/p>\n

Beyond her leadership at the farm, Kelly Ann is a dedicated caregiver and End-of-Life Doula who realized her lifelong dream two years ago by opening her own private care practice. She works purely from the heart, ensuring her clients can continue to engage in the activities they love by finding creative ways to accommodate their unique abilities. A busy mom of four and happily married to her supportive husband, Craig, Kelly Ann manages to balance it all with a grace that makes her absolutely imperative to our mission.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Cindy Thorne
<\/b><\/font><\/span>Developmental Programs Lead & Volunteer<\/span><\/b><\/font><\/span><\/h2>\n

Cindy is an invaluable part of our Transitions family, bringing over a decade of professional expertise and a deep heart for service to everything she does. A Dean\u2019s Honour Roll Developmental Services Worker (DSW) graduate and recipient of the RSA Award of Excellence, Cindy\u2019s background as a Support Worker, Planner, and Supervisor ensures our programs are built on a foundation of safety, inclusion, and advocacy. In her role as a dedicated volunteer, Cindy is essential to the heart of the farm. Whether she is organizing daily tasks or crafts, her attention to detail and positive spirit bring a sense of calm and care to humans and horses alike. A lifelong learner currently expanding her expertise in equine care, Cindy has a unique ability to blend professional leadership with a hands-on philosophy. Her commitment makes her an essential part of what makes Transitions such a special place.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Chloe Boshart, Summer Staff<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/font><\/h2>\n

Chloe brings warmth, energy, and creativity to our Transitions summer camps. Currently studying to become a teacher, she has a natural gift for connecting with youth and inspiring confidence in every camper she meets.<\/p>\n

Her bubbly personality and genuine love for animals make her a perfect fit for our farm family. Whether she\u2019s leading a group activity, helping with the horses, or lending a hand wherever it\u2019s needed, Chloe approaches everything she does with enthusiasm and care.<\/p>\n

Briar Boshart, Summer Staff<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

Briar is a bright and creative member of our Transitions summer camp team. Currently studying graphic design, she brings a unique blend of calm focus and cheerful energy to everything she does. Her thoughtful approach helps create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for our campers.<\/p>\n

A true animal lover, Briar has a natural eye for detail and a special talent for observing our herd \u2014 always finding ways to strengthen training and deepen our understanding of each horse\u2019s personality.<\/p>\n

Her steady presence, creativity, and caring nature make her an essential part of our camp experience and a valued member of the Transitions family.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Willow<\/b><\/h2>\n

Our herd boss. Even with her small stature, she is the lead mare, taking new horses that join us under her hoof and showing them the ropes. Willow came to us from Touchstone Farms. We had gone to visit Gillian and her herd and it was love at first sight for Willow. She chose Lindsey as her new person and the rest is history. <\/p>\n

Her story before Touchstone was pretty sad. She was terrified of men and buckets, and we were told that she was found in a very dirty stall with her foal who had passed away a few days prior to being found. Willow has been with us since 2019.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Elliott Moose<\/b><\/h2>\n

Ahhhh yes, Mr Moose, the troublemaker extraordinaire. If you don’t see him sneaking through fences and trying to break into the barn, you will catch him lovingly pestering one of his herd mates or stealing the hats, tools, and wheelbarrows from his humans. Moose joined us in 2019 from Stoneridge Stables, where he was born after his mother was rescued from OLEX. He has been an amazing addition to our program, taking his job seriously and making sure you’re ready to lead and laugh. For such a small dude, he has BIG personality<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Thunder<\/b><\/h2>\n

Meet the face behind our logo. With big personality and puppy dog tendencies, it’s not hard to see why he’s the perfect brand ambassador. Thunder is an amazing teacher, arriving here and jumping right into the program like he’s been doing it his whole life. <\/p>\n

While Thunder is one of the lucky souls who has not had hardships at the hands of humans, he does have a special story. A little while before I had received the call asking if we’d be interested in another horse, I had stated, out loud, that I would love to get a horse just like my grandfather’s old Cheyenne with bonus points if the bloodlines branched back to some of my grandfather’s… Well folks, here he is. A prime example of ask and you shall receive.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Tulsa<\/b><\/h2>\n

Tulsa is one of the babies of the herd, but she\u2019s already become a strong player here at Transitions. From summer camps to long-term care visits, she\u2019s an important part of our program and continues to shine as she begins her career under saddle. Tulsa shows incredible potential to be one of our star teachers, with her calm, level-headed personality standing out as one of her finest qualities. She\u2019s also known for her sweet bond with Lindsey \u2014 the two are often found laying together in the paddock when they\u2019re not busy playing. Guests are always welcome to meet Tulsa during visits to the farm and see firsthand why she\u2019s such a special member of the herd.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Hot Rod<\/b><\/h2>\n

“Bandido’s Devil Drives a Hotrod” is a funny and spunky little guy. At five years old, his sensitive yet loving nature makes him an excellent addition to our program. His curiosity and willingness to teach has made him a fast farm favorite. <\/p>\n

His previous owners taught him how to give kisses, and his favorite visitors are our LTC residents. <\/p>\n

You will often see him and Moose wrestling in the field or playing a game of keep away.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Envy<\/b><\/h2>\n

“Bandido’s Envy” is a beautiful, fancy moving little pony who is trained to drive. She’s very lovable. She loves attention and kisses, and is loved by all who meet her. <\/p>\n

Her gentle and patient nature coupled with her smaller stature, make her a perfect partner for first time horse participants who may be a little nervous at first. <\/p>\n

She and Willow have become best friends in the field and she’s also helping Willow to be a little more interactive with people on her own accord.<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Stanley<\/b><\/h2>\n

Stan the Man. He is by far, our smallest herd member with the biggest heart. He happily offers up his hooves for impressions in pottery for our Signature, Ponies and Pottery events, and loves to check out what’s happening in the arena. His hair do is always ON POINT!<\/span><\/p>\n

His Tiny stature and big personality make him an excellent partner for people in our program wishing to experience a little more of a challenge.<\/span><\/p>\n

You will find Stan partaking in shenanigans in the field with Moose, HotRod , and Willow on a very regular basis.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Peanut<\/b><\/h2>\n

Peanut is the baby of the herd and definitely a character! Her absolute favorite thing is getting scratched under her chest \u2014 she\u2019ll lean and sway like she\u2019s dancing for more. Found in an auction pen at just a month old with her mom, Peanut was rescued by CYB Farms, and after an eight-hour round trip to meet her, bringing her home was a no-brainer. With her curious, \u201cin-your-pocket\u201d personality, she\u2019s already a sweet little Reiki and Qi Gong partner. Peanut is still in training for the program, but she loves meeting visitors and will happily soak up all the attention she can get.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Rory<\/b><\/h2>\n

Rory is a beautiful off-the-track Thoroughbred with a gentle heart and an inquisitive, loving spirit. She carries a unique tattoo that tells part of her racing history, but her real story is unfolding here at Transitions. As the tallest horse in the herd, Rory stands out in more ways than one \u2014 though we often joke she\u2019s the one who should be wrapped in bubble wrap, since she has a knack for finding little bumps and scrapes. She\u2019s learning to relax into her new life, soaking up hay, fresh air, and plenty of TLC. Rory is a wonderful reminder of resilience, second chances, and the joy of embracing life\u2019s quirks.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Montana<\/b><\/h2>\n

Montana is our stunning buckskin Quarter Horse mare with undeniable queen bee energy. She brings her magic to our Equine Assisted Learning programs, helping participants connect, learn, and grow. Montana is also a valued riding horse in our lesson program, sharing her sweet, gentle nature with every rider. Beautiful, kind, and full of personality, she\u2019s a true gem of the Transitions herd.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Muskwa
<\/b>Ojibwe Spirit Pony<\/b><\/h2>\n

Muskwa (Bear) is one of three Ojibwe Spirit Ponies at Transitions. A striking black pony with a star, he embodies bravery, calm, and the wisdom of stories passed down by elders. Muskwa\u2019s gentle presence helps guide participants through meaningful connections and learning experiences with our herd. He joined us from TJ Stables and brings both heart and spirit to everything he does on the farm.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Gabi Gekgek
<\/b>Ojibwe Spirit Pony<\/b><\/h2>\n

Gabi Gek Gek (Hawk) is the second of our Ojibwe Spirit Ponies, joining us from TJ Stables. A beautiful all-bay pony, his graceful, deer-like build reflects his calm, grounded presence. Cautious yet steady, Gabi Gek Gek carries the wisdom of his lineage \u2014 he is the son of the lead Ojibwe mare at TJ Stables \u2014 and helps participants connect with the herd in a mindful, reflective way.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Ozaawaa Bezhigooganzhii Babaamose
<\/span><\/b> Ojibwe Spirit Pony<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

Ozaawaa Bezhigooganzhii Babaamose (Sky) is the youngest of our three Ojibwe Spirit Ponies, a striking buckskin with a big, vibrant spirit. He joins us from TJ Stables and is naturally curious, especially drawn to drum beats, approaching slowly with a calm and gentle presence.
